Welcome to ‘Taste of Barra’, which offers a homebaking service from traditional baking to personalised Celebration Cakes- all made locally and available on the Island of Barra.
We make packaged Hebridean Shortbread which is available to purchase at local outlets.
'Taste of Barra' is registered with CNES Environmental Health and holds various certificates in Safe Hygiene Practices, REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene and City and Guilds in Food Manufacturing.

Hebridean Shortbread
Made on the Island of Barra
Taste of Barra makes this delicious homemade shortbread using natural simple ingredients – flour, butter and sugar. The texture has been described as 'melt in the mouth' and 'moreish' by some of our clients. We sell rounds of 8 (230g) and shortly introducing smaller packs of individual rounds of 6 (120g pack) in plain or chocolate chip.
